January 30th: Trivia Night and Raffle 8-10 pm @ The Mansion
We have partnered with the CES and QBACC to host an awesome trivia night and raffle at The Mansion. All proceeds from the event will go towards the new community gardens that we are planning on building behind Nicol hall. Tickets are $4.57 and come with 1 raffle ticket but you are more than welcome to purchase more raffle tickets. To purchase a ticket click here.

January 30th: January Sustainability Hub 2-6pm @ Queen’s Athletic and Recreation Center

Join us along with other environmental groups at Queen’s and around Kingston at the January sustainability hub located at the ARC. There we will be doing our beeswax wrap workshop so stop by to make your own beeswax wrap that you will be able to take home and use for many years to come!

December 4th: SCB Sticker Sale 10am-2pm @ Queen’s Athletic and Recreation Center (ARC)
We are having our annual sticker sale from 10am-2pm inside the athletic and recreation center. We have a variety of designs to chose from that will look great on a water bottle or a computer.

November 7: Thrive Workshop with employee wellness
We are excited to host an indoor gardening workshop as part of Thrive Week which is put on by Employee Wellness. Our workshop entails a tour of the Queen’s University Phytotron and a tour of our Native pollinator garden.

October 24: October Sustainability Hub @ Victoria Hall Lobby
SCB is taking part in the October sustainability hub. Come join us and other environmental clubs and organizations from Queen’s University and the Kingston community from 2-6pm in Victoria Hall where we will be hosting a Beeswax Wrap workshop.

April 4: Sustainability Hub 3-7pm @ Rose Innovation Center
Come join SCB and other sustainability groups from Kingston and Queen’s for a fun afternoon to learn about different ways you can be sustainable in your own home as well as get some clothes or your bike repaired

March 23: Paper-making Workshop
Do you want to learn how to make new paper from recycled paper? Stop by room 3110 in the Bioscience complex and learn the process of making paper from shredding the recycled paper to making the perfect paper pulp and then letting it dry.

March 14: Succulent Sale and in-person merch sale
Spring is just around the corner! If you want plants to brighten up your place come over to the Athletic and Recreation Center (ARC) on Queen’s Campus from 2:30-5:30pm to buy some succulents or check out the link in our Instagram bio to pre-order your succulent so you are guaranteed to get one. Small succulents are $4, medium succulents are $7, and large succulents are $10. We will also be selling SCB toques and tote bags.

Join SCB and QBACC at 4:30 in Ellis Hall room 226 to make beeswax wraps and hear from a guest speaker from Loving Spoonful.


November 21 @ 7 p.m.: Education Documentary Movie Night
Join the Education Committee on Tuesday, November 21 at 7 p.m. in the EEB lounge in the Bioscience complex on Queen’s University Campus to watch an episode of “Our Great National Parks” and to hear from a Queen’s Professor about conservation.

November 14: Native Pollinator Garden Clean-Up
Join the Garden Committee from 10-12pm at the gardens in front of the Bioscience complex for a fun afternoon in the SCB Native Pollinator garden and help get the garden ready for the winter. Help forage for seeds from the plants, learn about native biodiversity, and enjoy some free hot chocolate. Come for as long as you like and learn about how to prep a garden for winter and snow!

November 1-10: SCB Merch Sale

October 28: Lake-shore Clean Up with QCOS
Come join SCB and Queens Conference on Ocean Sustainability (QCOS) on October 28 at 2 p.m. by the Gord Downie Pier picnic tables to help keep our beautiful Kingston waterfront clean. Materials will be provided but bring your own reusable mug for some free hot chocolate.

October 22: Education Nature Walk @ 1pm
Come join the SCB Education Committee on a guided nature walk at 1 p.m. in the BioScience Atrium on Queens University Campus. You will be able to see our native pollinator garden, talk about wildlife learn about community science and so much more.
