The EDII Advisors work closely with the rest of the club to guide our initiatives and activities, ensuring that EDII principles are implemented in everything that we do and creating an inclusive and welcoming space for students. They run equity-based initiatives throughout the year, such as highlighting BIPOC biologists on our Instagram, running EDII training sessions for SCB members, and hosting a sustainability-themed book club
Our new Conference Committee was created this year to plan, organize, and host the very first Conservation Biology Student Conference at Queen’s University. This event will be aimed at promoting the field of conservation among the student body, providing professional development to students interested in pursuing conservation, and spreading awareness about the opportunities available to students in environmentally-focused careers
Our Marketing Coordinators run all of SCB’s social media presence – from our Instagram to our Facebook, and even to our newly revamped website. They help promote all of our events and initiatives through creative and engaging marketing campaigns, both online and in-person on campus
The Membership Coordinators bring the club together, by organizing social and team-building events for the club, working with our general members to help them get the best experience possible with the club, and helping members with society membership and all the benefits that come with it!
