White Ash typically reaches heights of 20-30 meters. It has gray bark and compound leaves made up of 7 leaflets, dark green on top and pale underneath. Small, green/purple flowers appear in clusters in the spring and winged seeds, as shown, mature in late summer. It is the host plant for the Eastern Tiger Swallowtail butterfly and currently threatened by the invasive Emerald Ash Borer. For more information, visit:
