2026 Conference: Where Can Conservation Take You?
Our inaugural conference took place on Saturday, February 17th, 2026 at Wallace Hall in the John Deutsch University Centre in collaboration with Conservation Queen’s. With over 60 attendees, six speakers, a graduate studies workshop, and a vibrant post-conference social at the Queen’s Pub, this event marked the beginning of what we hope will become an annual tradition for many years to come.
Thank you to our amazing speakers for donating their time to make this event a success:
Keynote: Dr. Vicki Friesen, Professor of Evolutionary and Conservation Genetics at Queen’s University
Panelists: Corina Brdar (Queen’s University MA candidate, conservation professional), Damian Bourne (Queen’s University PhD candidate), Kelly McGann (Education Coordinator at Sandy Pines Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre), Robin LeCraw (Senior Ecologist at Cambium Inc.), Tara Bauer (Executive Director at Turtles Kingston)
